Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Toolmaker specializing in metal stamping, located in Anderson, SC. The Toolmaker will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and fixtures to support metal stamping operations. Tasks include operating and maintaining machinery, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting tools to ensure production efficiency and quality. The role requires collaboration with engineers, designers, and machinists to optimize tools and resolve production issues.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining precision machining equipment and tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining dies, fixtures, and equipment used in metal stamping
- Knowledge of materials used in tool and die making, including metals and alloys, as well as their properties
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address production challenges
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and machinists
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in machining or tool and die making is preferred
- Previous experience in metal stamping or a related manufacturing field is highly desirable
