HOW YOU WILL SUPPORT THE TEAM
We are seeking a Senior Scheduler to support projects at Turkey Point in Homestead, FL to support planning and execution on large-scale construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget through effective scheduling, forecasting, and collaboration with project teams.
Additionally, the Senior Scheduler will:
- Develop comprehensive project schedules for various construction projects using industry-standard software like Primavera P6.
- Develops a baseline schedule while coordinating with project management, and design leads.
- Work with project teams, superintendents, and subcontractors to define task sequencing, durations, dependencies, and milestones.
- Manage updates to reflect actual progress, incorporating changes as they occur.
- Conduct critical path analysis to identify and manage the most time-sensitive tasks to prevent project delays.
- Integrate cost and resource loading into schedules to manage labor, equipment, and materials effectively.
- Analyzes all changes to project schedule and the impact on cost and timeline. Ensures version control.
- Ensures all project change orders and project delays are documented, analyzed and reviewed. Communicates impact on the project timeline and cost.
· Performs claim mitigation, estimating and prepares models of possible contingency plans.
- Prepare schedule reports, critical path analysis, milestone tracking, risk evaluation, and scenario modelling (“what-if” analyses).
- Maintain compliance with contracting and project control standards; manage float, lead times, change order impacts, and earned value metrics.
- Produce regular dashboard reports for leadership, flagging issues, proposing mitigation measures, and ensuring confidence in timeline projections.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
To be successful, the ideal candidate should bring the following experiences and attributes to the role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience in scheduling and planner roles on large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and project controls software.
- Ability to determine project health and maintain company standards for project governance.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and project controls.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Solid track record in meeting deadlines, managing risks, and maintaining schedule integrity under pressure.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff with scheduling best practices.
- Confidence to act as Project Controls Manager when required.
- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools; Power BI experience a plus.
- US Citizenship is required.
