What You'll Do
As our Safety Manager, you'll be the driving force behind a safe, healthy, and engaged workforce. You'll partner with leaders, coach teams, and champion best practices that keep our people protected and our plant running strong.
You will:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies that meet OSHA and all regulatory requirements
- Lead engaging safety training for managers and employees, including fire prevention, hazard awareness, and proper equipment handling
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify risks and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Facilitate safety meetings that actually make an impact-not just check a box
- Provide signage, tools, and resources that keep safety top‑of‑mind
- Lead accident and incident investigations with professionalism and accuracy
- Conduct forklift training and certification
- Deliver safety orientation for all new hires
- Implement and train Behavior‑Based Safety (BBS) programs
- Hold supervisors accountable for maintaining a safe work environment
- Support plant tours and represent the safety program with confidence and pride
- Maintain all safety logs, documentation, and compliance records
What You Bring
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 4-5 years of safety experience, ideally in manufacturing or housing
- OSHA certification, plus First Aid/CPR
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with everyone-from new hires to senior leadership
- Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information
- Solid problem‑solving skills and the confidence to make decisions
- A proactive mindset and the determination to drive continuous improvement
- Bi-lingual is a plus
