Champion Ford / Volvo Cars Erie is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our parts department. If you enjoy working with vehicles, helping customers/technicians, and keeping a busy shop running smoothly, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you’ll help service technicians and retail and wholesale customers find the right parts, process orders, and maintain an accurate, organized inventory.
Responsibilities
- Identify and look up automotive parts using electronic catalogs and dealership systems.
- Assist technicians, retail customers, and wholesale accounts at the counter and by phone.
- Provide accurate pricing, availability, and estimated delivery information.
- Order, receive, inspect, and stock parts and accessories.
- Prepare parts invoices and process returns and core credits accurately.
- Monitor special orders and communicate updates to customers and the service department.
- Help maintain inventory accuracy through bin checks and physical counts.
- Keep the parts department clean, organized, and safe.
- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to support timely repairs.
- Recommend appropriate parts and accessories based on customer needs.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive parts experience preferred; Ford or Volvo experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and basic vehicle systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers; experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs is a plus.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work well with a team.
- Ability to perform essential duties, including moving and stocking parts, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
