Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and maintenance, ensuring that our facilities are kept in pristine condition. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing floors to ensure they are well-maintained.
- Handle custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings as needed.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks to support the overall upkeep of the building.
- Provide porter services by restocking supplies and managing waste disposal effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of residential painting and basic maintenance tasks is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
