Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of facilities, providing a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care and general upkeep of the premises. The ideal candidate will possess skills in commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and safety.
- Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and free of debris at all times.
- Assist with residential painting as needed to enhance facility aesthetics.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or repairs.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations within the facility.
- Respond promptly to custodial requests from management or staff.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial services or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing.
- Familiarity with commercial and industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
Pay Day:
- Once a month on the 31st of the month.
