- Behind-the-Wheel Instructors
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging, hands-on driving lessons in real-world traffic conditions.
- Teach safe driving techniques and build student confidence behind the wheel.
- Personalize your teaching approach to each student’s needs and learning style.
- Communicate progress clearly with students and families.
- Maintain a safe, encouraging, and professional learning environment.
Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Pass an FBI/BCI background check
- Have 2 points or fewer on their driver's license over the last 3 years
- Have no history of license suspension
- Have held a valid driver’s license for 5 years
- Possess strong, safe driving skills
Basic Qualifications
- Experience teaching, coaching, or training (adult learners a plus)
- Patient, calm, and supportive with students of all skill levels
- Knowledge of traffic laws—or a willingness to learn them
- Passion for student success and safe driving practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills with both students and parents
