Job Title: Draft Warehouse Supervisor

Position Status: Full Time
Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Description

The Draft Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all draft warehouse operations, including keg receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, equipment handling, and load preparation. This role ensures that draft products are accurately received, stored, rotated, staged, and loaded in accordance with Champion Brands' operational, safety, and quality standards.

As the Draft Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day draft warehouse activities, maintaining accurate inventory levels, supervising staff performance, coordinating with delivery, sales, and warehouse teams, and ensuring that draft products and equipment are available to meet customer demand. Your ability to lead, coach, and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence is essential to the success of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB

Draft Warehouse Operations

  • Direct and oversee all daily draft warehouse activities, including keg receiving, storage, rotation, staging, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure products are handled, stored, and distributed according to company standards and supplier requirements.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for full, empty, damaged, and specialty kegs.
  • Conduct inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances.
  • Monitor product rotation and freshness standards to ensure product quality.

Staff Supervision

  • Lead, coach, train, and support draft warehouse associates.
  • Monitor productivity and adherence to company procedures.
  • Provide performance feedback and assist with employee development.

Quality Control

  • Ensure all draft products and equipment meet Champion Brands' quality standards.
  • Verify proper product rotation, condition, labeling, and handling procedures.
  • Identify and address quality concerns before products are distributed.

Safety Compliance

  • Enforce all warehouse safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Ensure proper operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with delivery, fleet, sales, purchasing, and warehouse management teams to support customer needs and operational objectives.
  • Communicate inventory shortages, equipment concerns, and operational issues promptly.

Equipment & Asset Management

  • Monitor the movement and accountability of draft equipment, including kegs, taps, couplers, and related assets.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and replacements as needed.

Time & Resource Management

  • Schedule and allocate staffing resources to efficiently meet workload demands.
  • Ensure products and equipment are staged and available to support delivery schedules.

Problem Solving

  • Address inventory discrepancies, equipment failures, staffing challenges, and operational disruptions.
  • Develop and implement solutions that minimize service interruptions and operational inefficiencies.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, inventory control, warehouse organization, and overall department productivity.
  • Recommend and support process improvements that enhance efficiency and service levels.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver's License
  • Forklift Certified or ability to become certified
  • 2–3 years of warehouse experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3 years of warehouse supervisory experience
  • Experience managing beverage inventory, kegs, or draft operations
  • 2–3 years of experience working with WMS software
  • Associate's degree

The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle materials, operate equipment, communicate clearly, and move throughout the warehouse. The employee frequently walks, stands, bends, lifts, pushes, and pulls. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25–50 pounds and must be able to maneuver full and empty kegs, equipment, and loaded products weighing up to 800 pounds with appropriate equipment. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
