What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Fitness Personal Trainer position at Champion Athletics + Fitness?
WE'RE HIRING | GROUP FITNESS PERSONAL TRAINER
Champion Athletics Fitness is run out of a 100-year-old Barn, with a unique atmosphere that you can't find anywhere else. We heat with propane heaters in the winters, and stay cool(er) with the Barn doors open & big fans running in the summers. It is the perfect juxtaposition of feminine strength - rustic and tough as nails, but fun and sassy; not overly fancy and new, but really freaking cool & gets the job done right.
At Champion Athletics Fitness, we're building more than just a gym. We're building a place where women feel like they actually belong.
The Barn was created because too many women have experienced fitness as intimidating, impersonal, or focused only on the number on a scale. We believe women deserve something different: a community where they're known by name, encouraged through every season of life, and challenged to become stronger - physically, mentally, and confidently.
As our community continues to grow, we're looking for an incredible coach who believes that relationships come before reps, and who wants to help create an environment where every woman feels seen, supported, and capable of more than she ever thought possible.
Who we're looking for:
We're searching for someone who...
- Lights up when helping others succeed.
- Coaches people—not just workouts.
- Is energetic without being intimidating.
- Is humble, reliable, and leads by example.
- Remembers names, celebrates wins, and genuinely cares about people.
- Believes fitness should empower women of every age and ability.
- Wants to be part of building something bigger than themselves.
Experience coaching youth athletes and sports performance is a big plus, as this role has opportunities to work with both our adult and youth programs.
Qualifications:
✔ Accredited personal training and/or group fitness certification (or willingness to obtain one within 6 months of hire)
✔ Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification (required)
✔ Excellent communication skills
✔ Positive, professional attitude
✔ Passion for coaching and lifelong learning
