The Executive Director supports the mission of Champion Athletes of the Ozarks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to build self-esteem, self-confidence, and everyday life skills in children and adults with disabilities. Through no cost education programs, sports competition, and new opportunities, Champion Athletes provides the resources to help each individual reach their full potential.
The Executive Director will oversee all programs and work closely with the Board of Directors, community partners, and most importantly – our incredible athletes!
How you will lead:
- Oversee all aspects of programs including development of new opportunities.
- Develop Corporate Donors
- Manage staff and promote positive employee relations.
- Consistently communicate with the Board of Directors, staff members, volunteers, and the individuals who Champion Athletes serve.
- Give formal presentations to community organizations, schools, volunteer groups, and others, while upholding our positive identity and image.
- Create awareness of Champion Athletes and disability-related issues.
- Oversee grants, funding, including work with government agencies and donors.
- Oversee all banking, QuickBooks, payroll, files, and financial reports.
- Attend community meetings and activities; maintain a positive public relations presence.
- Measure progress for all programs, identify areas of improvement, and implement necessary changes.
What you will bring:
- Energy, vision, and motivation with experience in securing financial support for an organization.
- Successful record of leadership in nonprofit, public relations, or business with a focus on social impact.
- Ability and desire to work with a diverse group of individuals and talents.
- Strong connection or personal experience with individuals with disabilities.
- Demonstrated capacity for solving problems, making decisions, thinking creatively, and listening effectively.
- Engaging public speaking skills.
- Strong team leadership and the ability to set and communicate clear expectations.
- Working knowledge of Office Suite, Excel, QuickBooks, and donor management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Job Type: Full-Time
Benefits: Health and Dental for employee, Champion Athletes will pay ½ of the premium
Travel: Some non-overnight travel may be required
Schedule: Flexibility to work some after-hours/evening and weekend work expected
