UNPAID INTERNSHIP
**ATTENTION**:This internship is specificallyforBSW students currentlyin their internship planning stages at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign'sSchool of Social Work.
The Bridge Mental Health Program is housed in the Teen and Adult Services Division at Champaign-Urbana Public Health District. The program aims to address gaps in mental health services. Tasks will include: identifying an individual's mental health needs, connecting them to the appropriate outside provider for counseling/therapy, providing additional resources for basic needs (food, primary care doctor appointments, dental/vision appointments etc.). A BSW intern will be responsible for identifying and maintaining connections with local mental health counseling providers to understand what insurance they accept, length of their waitlist, any barriers to accessing services, and more. BSW intern will also participate in IPLAN Behavioral Health work group.
