Pickleball Instructor
Champaign Park District – Part-Time 2, Non-Exempt
Not to exceed 19 hours per week on average
About the Job
Do you love pickleball and enjoy helping others learn and grow? The Pickleball Instructor plays a key role in delivering fun, safe, and engaging pickleball programs for both children and adults. In this role, you’ll lead instructional lessons, support daily program operations, and create a welcoming environment that keeps participants coming back to the court.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Teach pickleball lessons to children and adults at assigned indoor and outdoor locations
- Plan and deliver age- and skill-appropriate instruction
- Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records
- Ensure a safe learning environment by following all Park District safety policies
- Inspect equipment before and after lessons and report needs or concerns
- Communicate regularly with the Sports Coordinator regarding programs and participants
- Promote pickleball programs and assist with other pickleball activities as needed
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions
- Uphold Park District policies, professionalism, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications:- Experience teaching pickleball to a variety of age groups and skill levels.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with participants, parents, and staff.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability to a supervisor
- Availability to work assigned schedules, including evenings and weekends as required
Salary : $17 - $30
