The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day
operation of the center and meeting the Head Start Performance
Standards, Public Health Regulations, and DCFS Licensing Standards. An
important role of the Site Manager position is to provide vision and
leadership to education staff in creating a positive learning
environment where Head Start children gain the skills, knowledge, and
attitudes that lead to future school success. Additionally, the Site
Manager supports teachers and assistant teachers to become exceptional
early childhood educators by engaging in their professional development,
modeling effective teaching practices, and implementing agency policies
and procedures. Our organization requires that the Site Manager ensures
a supportive and welcoming environment every day and fosters a sense of
safety for staff, families, and children.\

Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or
early education teaching experience
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Education in Business Administration is preferred and will be given
- CLASS observer certified preferred
- Knowledge of Head Start and other agency rules and regulations
- Previous experience with recruitment, staffing, and operations
- Prior direct supervision experience with teams of 20-30 people
- Demonstrated organization and project management skills
- Must Possess skills in oral and written communication, and
supervise staff, relate to children, families, and community
agencies
- Must possess strong skills in the use of common office software for
- Ability to learn the use of web-based systems
- Learn the Head Start and other agency rules and regulations within
- Experience with populations, including at-risk families
- Must meet all requirements of the Department of Children and Family
- Respect for family, staff and agency confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to adjust to change frequently
- Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and other work sites
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
