The Case Manager II at the Youth Assessment Center (YAC) supports youth
aged 10-17 who are at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice
system. The YAC serves as a centralized resource hub, where families,
schools, service agencies, and law enforcement can refer youth facing
challenges such as behavioral issues, bullying, and other factors that
may contribute to their risk. Utilizing the principles of Balanced and
Restorative Justice (BARJ), this role involves conducting timely
assessments, providing resource referrals, and connecting youth to
appropriate services with the goal of fostering restoration and positive
community engagement.
The Youth Assessment Case Manager will work closely with youth to
enhance decision-making and problem-solving skills, manage stress,
reduce impulsive behaviors, improve communication, manage anger, build
self-esteem, set goals, develop emotional intelligence, and increase
financial literacy. Additionally, the role includes connecting youth to
partner agencies for further community support and resources.
Schedule: 37.5-hour work week, with 7.5-hour workdays between 10:30 AM
and 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be necessary to meet
program objectives.\
