Position Summary
The Relief Account Manager is an hourly, non‑route‑assigned position responsible for providing route coverage and execution support across multiple territories as needed. This role does not have a permanently assigned route. Instead, the Relief Account Manager fills in for Account Managers during vacations, absences, open routes, or business needs while maintaining C.B.C.’s sales, service, and execution standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Route Coverage & Daily Execution
- Provide temporary route coverage for Account Managers as assigned.
- Execute all Account Manager responsibilities on covered routes during relief assignments.
- No permanent route will be assigned; route assignments will vary based on business needs.
- Complete daily call frequency requirements for each assigned coverage route.
Sales & Account Management
- Follow C.B.C.’s established structured sales process to support assigned accounts.
- Manage sales, distribution, brand presence, and packaging execution across all assigned accounts.
- Accomplish monthly objectives as outlined in the C.B.C. Point Sheet.
- Maintain current shelf space and ensure planogram and pricing compliance.
Product Quality & Freshness
- Ensure product quality and freshness for both packaged and draft products in assigned accounts.
- Routinely inspect and service draft systems, including faucets and tapping equipment.
- Verify proper placement and condition of draft service tags.
Retail Execution & Merchandising
- Execute and follow up on all chain activity at the store level within the assigned area.

Manage permanent and paper Point of Connection Materials (POCM), ensuring they are:
- Properly placed
- Clean and up to date
- In working condition
- Complete Go Spot Check surveys as required.
Inventory & Distribution Management

Track and manage:
- Build‑to quantities and accurate inventory levels
- Post‑the‑case (PTC) goals
- Ensure timely delivery of out‑of‑stock products when accounts run out.
Route & Daily Execution
- Complete daily call frequency requirements as assigned.
- Provide relief coverage for Account Managers as needed.
Vehicle & Equipment Standards
- Maintain company vehicle in accordance with C.B.C. standards.
- Keep the vehicle stocked with appropriate paper POCM for all account needs.
- Sales or customer service experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree or college coursework preferred
- Availability to have 100/300 car insurance
- Strong organizational and follow‑up skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic understanding of sales, merchandising, and inventory management
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
