Responsibilities
- Provide expert barbering and cosmetology services, including haircuts, styling,
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, adhering to health regulations and safety protocols.
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and facilitate retail sales efficiently.
- Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their needs and recommend suitable hair care or retail products.
- Upsell retail items such as hair care products, styling tools, and cosmetics to maximize client value and store sales.
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/check-out procedures, appointment confirmations, and managing the overall client experience.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair coloring techniques, store management practices, and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hair styling, coloring, and grooming services.
- Proficiency in salon software systems like Zenoti for scheduling and retail management.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, store management practices, and retail math for accurate sales transactions.
- Skilled in various hair treatments including hair extensions, color theory application, and hair threading.
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members alike.
