As demand for our services continues to rise, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented press helper to join our production team.
Job Summary:
The Press Helper supports the Pressman by assisting with the setup, operation, and cleanup of offset printing presses. The role includes loading paper, monitoring supplies, and ensuring the work area remains organized and safe.
What You'll Do:
- Assist Pressman in preparing the press for production, including loading paper and installing plates.
- Monitor paper feed and ink levels during runs.
- Remove completed jobs from delivery areas and stack properly.
- Perform basic press cleanup and maintenance tasks.
- Refill ink, paper, and other consumables as needed.
- Help inspect printed materials for quality issues (color, alignment, smudges).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization around the press area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating offset printing presses or work in the manufacturing industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, color guides, and production specifications
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and occasional overtime if needed
- A team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
