We are seeking a reliable and skilled Concrete Truck Driver to join our team. The Concrete Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites, ensuring timely and efficient service while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive a concrete mixer truck in a safe and efficient manner to transport ready-mix concrete to job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
- Load, mix, and deliver concrete according to customer specifications and delivery schedules.
- Verify the quality, quantity, and consistency of concrete during loading and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Clean and maintain the truck, including the mixer drum and chutes, to ensure operational efficiency and longevity.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks on the truck as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction at delivery sites.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a concrete mixer truck or similar heavy-duty vehicle preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing and delivery processes is a plus.
- Ability to navigate construction sites and follow delivery routes using GPS or maps.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily outdoors, in varying weather conditions, and at construction sites.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
- Requires sitting for extended periods while driving and occasional physical labor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
