ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in overseeing and training maintenance staff in maintenance activities, including construction, plumbing and sewage. Provides technical leadership in service, repair, replacement, and protection of physical assets of the casino, as directed.
- Assist in monitoring systems and provides technical direction to co-workers on all maintenance controls and related equipment to ensure the safety and protection of employees and guests.
- Fixes handrails, carpets, and wood trim. Keeps water at a safe level below the building, discharges clean water, and maintains sump pumps in proper operating order. Maintains comfortable internal climate controls, conducts routine troubleshooting, and performs preventive maintenance.
- Takes a proactive leadership role in responding to requests for maintenance assistance. Maintains positive public relations with casino guests and employees.
- Assist in overseeing special projects including remodeling, construction, expansion efforts, and other duties, as required.
- Assist in supervising Maintenance staff in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and internal policies and procedures.
- Trains maintenance personnel on maintaining accurate and current daily equipment logs.
- Reports violations of maintenance equipment used to the supervisor.
- Maintains a clean machine room, plants, pits, fan chambers, and break room.
- Provides technical guidance to co-workers on fire and safety alert equipment. Assists in maintaining MSDS property-wide.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities. In uncertain situations, exercise caution and inform the supervisor prior to taking action.
- Within the realm of the job, maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated thorough knowledge and experience performing routine general maintenance support services. Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent building codes. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and a demonstrated experience applying carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance skills to repair and maintain facilities and equipment. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Completion of a Trade School Education in Electrical, Steam, or Refrigeration is preferred. Five (5) or more years of recent and related engineering, HVAC, or skilled trade experience, including experience leading and providing technical direction to maintenance personnel.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must have a valid Driver’s License, with a good driving record. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, crouching, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting from 50 to 75 pounds to stack, store, or move materials, supplies, and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek, any day of the week, any shift of the day, with additional hours occasionally required. In the event of a facility emergency, the incumbent must be on-call and available.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Essential duties involve working near large numbers of people in an inside and outside environment, which is subject to extreme temperature changes and adverse weather conditions, including wind, rain, snow, cold, and heat.

$60,000 Depending on experience
