1. Position Summary

The Student Worker Client Assistant serves as first point of contact for the Chaminade community when they need technical assistance.

• Cultivate a keen eye for detail to ensure proper handling of IT tickets

1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of services and department processes to respond to client inquiries and issues
• Provide assistance via various modes of communication
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance in regarding the use of Chaminade resources
• Enter and/or review all calls, email, and walk-in service requests
• Coordinate with other student assistants and staff members to achieve smooth workflow
• Create reference documentation to maximize degree of self-help for Chaminade community
• Provide audio visual and technical support

1. Education and Experience

Minimum

Currently enrolled student at Chaminade 

Preferred

Student should maintain a current GPA of at least (2.5)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be willing to learn about technology and to gain a broad knowledge of campus systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Organized with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize work and resources
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality
• High integrity and ethical standards

1. Physical Requirements

Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills.  Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.

1. Other Requirements: 

• This is a Part-time Non-Exempt Student Worker position. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required.   Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule.
• Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required
• Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
