Location: Orange CountyDescription:We are looking for a Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead with a strong work ethic, good communication skills, a willingness to learn, experience leading landscape crews in the field, and someone who is looking to grow with the company in Orange County. The job entails working outdoors (typically within natural areas) at various sites throughout Orange County, conducting vegetation management activities. This may include plant installation, supplemental watering (by hand or via an irrigation system), and weed management utilizing manual, mechanical, and chemical methods (e.g., weed whippers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws). Applicants Must Have:§ A minimum of 2 years’ experience in landscape industry§ Able to operate and maintain mechanical equipment for extended periods of time throughout the day§ Experience conducting basic irrigation repairs (e.g., capping lines, valve replacement, and programming/running automatic timers)§ Experience mixing and applying various herbicides in a professional setting (i.e., foliar backpack spot treatment)§ Valid driver's license and clean DMV record§ Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis§ English language proficiency§ A willingness to learn and be highly motivated and detail-oriented§ Ability to be punctual and have reliable transportation to job sites§ Flexibility to travel out of town or stay overnight on occasionThe ideal applicant will also have:§ Experience with installing irrigation systems§ Heavy equipment operation skills (e.g., bobcat, skid steer, backhoe)§ Qualified Applicator’s License§ Experience leading landscape crewmembers in the field§ Be mechanically inclined§ Plant identification skills are a plus§ Live within 45 minutes of Santa Ana (with traffic)Please reply to careers@chambersgroupinc.com immediately with the cover letter and resume.Chambers Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, and we value inclusion.
