Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing products and materials. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and safety while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Major Duties
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.
- Pulling and organizing orders (cases and bottles) in a 10,000 square foot warehouse.
- Moving cases/pallets with a pallet jack, order picker or forklift.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and safety/security guidance.
- Perform other related duties, special projects or assignments as required.
- Must be able to safely and independently lift 35–50lbs on a reoccurring basis.
- Must be able to load and unload 75-100 cases of wine into delivery van (each weighing up to 50lbs).
- Frequent use of step-up bumper to access cargo area requires frequent bending of knees and legs.
- High attention to detail with accuracy (checking against delivery invoices, and noting and errors/refusals).
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to start early mornings with flexibility to work overtime.
- Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Team player, self-starter attitude highly desired.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to perform occasional squatting, bending, twisting, climbing, crouching, and balancing.
- Must be able to perform occasional pushing or pulling of freight up to 50 pounds with or without a mechanical aid.
- Must be able to frequently perform carrying of freight weighing 1 - 50 pounds of varying size and shape a distance of at least 1 foot but usually no more than 50 feet.
- Must be able to frequently reach above shoulder level, at waist level and below waist level for maneuvering and directing product or freight.
- Must be able to stack and maneuver product of freight weight as much as 50 pounds. This could involve moving 45-pound cases to and from floor level to pallets or platforms that are over four feet high, stowing cartons or other merchandise overhead that weigh as much as 50 pounds each. That type of activity could proceed standing or sitting for periods up to 7 to 10 hours.
- Must be able to spend at least 80% of the day standing.
- Must be able to spend 75% to 85% of time indoors, exposed to potentially difficult environmental conditions, machinery and material moving equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Team player, self-starter attitude highly desired
- Accuracy, attention to detail and organization (checking orders against delivery invoice, noting and errors/refusals and proper delivery routing)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Flexibility to work additional hours to cover vacation or increased business demands
