What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Inventory Logistics Lead position at Chambers Bottling Company L L C?
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Inventory Specialist’s primary function is responsible for cycle counting, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and supporting other warehouse operations during the second shift.
Shift Hours: (12:30 PM – 9:00 PM or when finished).
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the scheduling and execution of cycle counts daily to include researching and reporting any variances.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and able to work with shipping & receiving to ensure proper material handling and location accuracy.
- Support replenishment tasks as needed.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance inventory control efficiency.
- Assist with month-end inventory.
- Work closely with management and provide backup assistance where needed.
- Support the loading of route and transport trucks when needed to include truck & trailer shuttling.
- Assist in making sure the plant is locked and secure every night.
- Support the Team Lead and communicate any issues or concerns.
- Responsible for route truck check-in to ensure product returns are coded and re-stocked properly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
- Accepts additional responsibilities assigned to ensure the optimal overall operation of the company.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory control roles.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, electric rider jacks, and scanners.
