Job Title: Associate Principal, DevOps Engineer (Automation Focus)
Location & Type: Dallas, TX- Onsite 3 Days per Week, Direct Hire
(Must be open to providing after-hours support and on-call rotation 5 PM–7 AM, 3 months per year).
Compensation: $121,500.00 - $194,800.00 (8-15%)

- Automate repetitive infrastructure, testing, and deployment tasks using Terraform, Bash, Groovy, or Python.
- Collaborate with the Chicago-based DevOps lead to identify process gaps and deliver automated solutions.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security through robust DevOps practices.
- Champion DevOps, cloud-native, and security best practices across teams.
- Partner with developers and operations teams to expand automation coverage and mentor on modern DevOps methodologies.
- Manage and enhance AWS and Kubernetes environments, ensuring high availability and observability.
- Continuously evaluate emerging DevOps tools and recommend strategic improvements.
- Document procedures and troubleshooting guides for repeatable and efficient operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7 years of DevOps experience with strong automation and IaC focus.
- Deep expertise in Terraform and Kubernetes (non-negotiable).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Groovy scripting.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Ability to partner with the lead to define and execute automation initiatives.
- Solid understanding of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
- Preferred experience with Azure or GCP, hybrid cloud native.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and modern testing practices.
- AWS Cloud Certification
- CKA/CKAD or equivalent Kubernetes certification.
