Challenger School is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our team in the northern Bay area. As a maintenance technician at Challenger, you will be tasked with keeping our campuses safe, functional, and well-maintained. The standard work week is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 3:00 pm with occasional overtime opportunities. On a day-to-day basis, you will be inspecting facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to urgent repair requests, and coordinating larger maintenance projects.

- Perform maintenance and repair work on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Comply with OSHA standards, government licensing, safety, and operational requirements
- Maintain interior and exterior functionality and safety of the school building
- Keep school grounds clear and functional through all seasons
- Occasionally travel to other San Jose campuses to assist with maintenance tasks- 30 mile radius
- Work patiently with coworkers and campus staff
- Reliable personal vehicle (mileage paid)
- General knowledge/experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
