Role Overview We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented RC Race Director to lead our weekly Saturday race events. This isn't just about starting and stopping a clock; it’s about curate-ing an atmosphere. You will be the "voice" of the track, the referee of the heat, and the digital architect behind our live presence. If you have a passion for radio-controlled racing and a knack for multitasking between technical software and live entertainment, we want you in the driver's seat.
Schedule: Every Saturday (approx. 4–6 hours).
Key Responsibilities
- Race Management & Officiating:
- Set up race brackets and heats using scoring software (e.g., LiveRC).
- Oversee tech inspections to ensure vehicles meet class specifications.
- Act as the primary referee, making fair and decisive calls on driving conduct and track etiquette.
- Live Sports Announcing:
- Provide real-time "play-by-play" commentary during races to keep drivers and spectators engaged.
- Announce upcoming heats, marshal assignments, and results clearly over the PA system.
- Broadcast & Stream Management:
- Manage the live stream setup, ensuring video feeds and audio levels are crisp.
- Monitor and update live scoring overlays to provide a professional viewing experience for remote fans.
- Content Creation & Social Media:
- Capture photos or short video clips of podium finishes and "move of the day" highlights.
- Update social media platforms with live results, upcoming schedules, and community news.
- Graphic Design:
- Create digital posters for upcoming trophy races or special events.
- Update track-side signage or digital displays with sponsor logos and current standings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with RC timing systems and a solid understanding of OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) or similar streaming tools.
- Creative Flair: Basic to intermediate skills in graphic design (Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator) to keep the brand looking sharp.
- Communication: Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to maintain high energy for several hours.
- Conflict Resolution: A calm, firm demeanor when handling disputes on the drivers' stand.
- RC Knowledge: Deep understanding of RC racing rules, various classes (Touring, NASCAR, Drift), and general chassis mechanics.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
