DSP (Direct Support Professional)

The Direct Support Professional will work primarily with individuals with intellectual disabilities in their own homes or apartments throughout Superior, promoting and teaching independent living skills. This includes cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, hygiene and relationship building. The staff will also transport or assist in arranging transportation to work, school or to community based activities.

Must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED and have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to pass a criminal background check, lift #50 independently and maintain a valid drivers license are requirements for the position.

As our programs operate 24/7, it is expected that staff meet a weekend requirement; every other weekend, or one weekend day/ 2 week schedule.

Wage begins at $17.00, more if experience in the field. Weekend shifts receive a $1/hr differential and all awake overnight shifts, receive a $2/hour differential.

Looking for just weekends? Wage begins at $17.00, and will also receive $1/hour when working. ($18.00)

Within 1 month of completing training, wage increases by $0.50 with a $200 bonus. After 3 months of employment, staff will receive a bonus of an additional $250.

Part time and full time positions available.
The Challenge Center provides all training needed and we pay you while you train. Wages increase upon completion of training, weekend assignments and accumulated time within our field.
