Challenge Camp is an ACA accredited summer day camp located at Iona University celebrating our 46th year of offering summer enrichment learning opportunities for bright, curious children. Our program runs from 9AM - 4PM and is divided into 2 Sessions, June 29 - July 24 and July 27 - August 14.
Our Swimming program will take place in the indoor pool at Iona University during the afternoons from 12:00 - 4PM. We are seeking an Aquatics Director for the full 7 weeks.
The Aquatics Director is responsible for implementing our swimming program, developing lifeguard / instructional team and ensuring proper supervision for the pool area.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing policies and procedures for pool use and safety.
- Responsible for training, coaching, and leading lifeguards and swim instructors.
- Ensuring compliance with State and County Health Department Regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must have all current certifications required- Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/ First Aid/AED
- Prior experience working with children in an aquatic setting
- Must be able to recognize and respond to emergencies immediately
- Must be friendly and outgoing
- Must be at least 21 years of age

We are looking for an enthusiastic Aquatics Director with a background in Swimming, Lifeguarding and Swim instruction for our Day Camp in New Rochelle, New York. Candidates should have current certifications for CPR, First Aid / Lifeguarding.
Candidates that live locally, or with access to local housing only please.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
