Responsibilities
Front Door & Guest Experience
- Greet guests immediately with warmth and energy
- Manage the waitlist and walk guests to tables
- Communicate clearly with servers and managers about seating flow
Takeout & Third-Party Orders
- Accurately confirm and package carryout orders
- Assist kitchen with finishing and quality checking orders
- Coordinate UberEats / DoorDash pickups
- Ensure every order leaves complete, correct, and presented well
Team Support
- Help clear and reset tables
- Run food when needed
- Support bartenders and servers during peak times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred but not necessary
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems like Toast is a plus but not required
- Experience in hospitality, hotel guest services, or serving roles will be advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential for success in this role
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
- $14/hour base pay
- Plus tips from carryout orders
- Plus any additional tip-out from service staff
This role has real earning potential during busy shifts.
Schedule
This positions schedule is weeknights 5-9pm, .and Saturday and Sunday afternoons based on our expected volume.
