Production Floater- 2nd shift

**$1,000 sign on bonus ($250 paid at 3 months of employment & $250 paid at 6 months of employment & $500 paid at 1 year of employment)

PAY

This position pays $17.00 plus .50 cent for shift differential

SHIFT

Shift hours are 2:45p - 11:00p with flexibility to report early and work past scheduled shift time; in addition weekends when required

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Lead will assist the Production Supervisor to ensure that the production line is operating efficiently and effectively in order to produce a quality, safe food product. The production lead will follow all safety guidelines and food manufacturing regulations to ensure that safe, quality products are being produced at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Assist supervisor in overall efficiency of the production floor and process
• Maintains accurate logs of shift production results; accurately complete and handle required paperwork
• Will train new hires and temporary workers
• Observe and follow up with employees to ensure duties/responsibilities are done accurately
• Assures food safety standards with regards to GMP’s and HAACP plan are followed at all times
• Maintains neat and clean work area at all times
• Monitors production line to ensure running efficiently
• Assist employees when needed with their duties to ensure production goals are met
• Train new workers & provide re-training as necessary
• Have a strong and sound working knowledge of all machinery on production floor; must be able to work in all positions on the production floor
• Assures food safety standards with regards to GMP’s and HAACP plan are followed at all times
• Maintains neat and clean work area at all times
• Coach, mentor and guide employees regarding company policies, procedures, and work responsibilities
• Will be required to fill in as supervisor when necessary
• Assures food safety standards with regards to GMP’s and HAACP plan are followed at all times

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Controlling operations of machines/equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
• Leadership and teamwork skills are essential
• Keen observation and evaluation ability; detailed oriented
• Ability to take initiative; self motivated to produce results
• Ability to monitor and assess situations; take corrective action
• Must move with sense of urgency; time management skills are essential
• Availability to work outside of normally scheduled shift hours and work overtime when required

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous lead/supervisor experience in food manufacturing setting strongly preferred
• Previous production/manufacturing experience
• Forklift certified/forklift experience

WORK ENVIROMENT

• Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed
• Protective gear such as gloves, work boots and smocks required at all times
• Will work around moving machinery
• Temperature varies from 39-45 degrees

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• required to walk, stand, bend for long periods of time throughout the day
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Will be expected to perform other related duties and assignments requested or directed.
