Job Summary
The Manager, Ecommerce is responsible for the overall execution and performance of ChairKing.com and FortunoffBackyardStore.com. This role owns how products and content are presented online and ensures the websites are accurate, engaging, and optimized to support sales and marketing initiatives.
This position is both strategic and hands-on. The Manager leads ecommerce merchandising and content execution while also owning the roadmap and delivery of website enhancements. This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of ecommerce best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively across Marketing, Merchandising, Technology, and Operations to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day performance and execution of the ecommerce websites, supporting revenue growth and conversion
- Owns the end-to-end process for getting products live online, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Oversees product content including imagery, copy, attributes, pricing presentation, categorization, and hierarchy
- Ensures product pages contain clear, compelling, and accurate information to support customer purchasing decisions
- Partners closely with Marketing and Creative to translate campaigns into effective onsite execution
- Ensures accurate and consistent product information by working with Category Merchants and Suppliers
- Partners with Technology teams and external vendors to define requirements, test functionality, and launch enhancements
- Ensures all site updates and enhancements are implemented accurately and meet business requirements
- Analyzes site, product, and content performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develops and maintains reporting and dashboards to track performance and execution status
- Leads, coaches, and develops the Ecommerce Specialist team
- Establishes clear processes, workflows, and quality standards to ensure a high level of accuracy and consistency
- Drives cross-functional project execution by aligning stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring delivery against business objectives
Required Skills / Abilities
- Strong ecommerce merchandising and content management experience
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and process-oriented mindset
- Experience working with ecommerce platforms, CMS tools, analytics, SEO, and onsite optimization tools
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5–10 years of ecommerce experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Experience owning website execution, content management, and site enhancements
- Furniture or retail experience is a plus
- Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge helpful but not required
