Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck and Trailer Mechanic for a full-time, on-site role located in Canton, MI. The mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing issues, and repairing trucks and trailers. Daily tasks will include inspections, troubleshooting mechanical problems, replacing or repairing parts, and ensuring that all vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The mechanic will also maintain detailed service records and collaborate with the team to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance
- Strong skills in Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment maintenance
- Experience in diagnosing and Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to understand technical manuals and schematics
- Experience working with heavy trucks and trailers is an advantage
- Relevant certifications and/or technical training in automotive or diesel mechanics are preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
