Position Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant specializing in store-level accounting to manage the financial operations of our rapidly expanding retail locations. This role will report directly to the U.S. Accounting Manager, and they will play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency at the store level.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Financial Operations
- Manage and reconcile daily sales transactions from POS & ERP systems to bank accounts and the general ledger.
- Oversee store-level accounts payable (AP), process payments timely, establish ongoing relationships with vendors and ensure AP aging reconciliation ties between POS and ERP
- Collaborate with store managers to track and control COGS, inventory, and shrinkage
- Partner with Supply Chain team to automate raw material and overseas purchasing
- Evaulate current POS/ERP system stack and identify areas for automation
Month-End Close & Reporting
- Lead month-end close processes for store-level accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial summaries and variance analyses on store level P/L and coordinate with store budget owners to explain variances and compare to forecasted amounts
- Reconcile all intercompany transactions, and produce consolidated reporting
Collaboration & Compliance
- Partner with the operations team to implement and monitor financial policies at the store level.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in retail or multi-location accounting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting systems.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software like Netsuite, Restaurant365, or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in food and beverage retail operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems and multi-location reporting.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus
