What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Funder/Processor position at Chaffey FCU?
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Loan Funder/Processor position is to interview credit union loan applicants, professionally representing the credit union throughout the process. Research background information on loan applicants and resolve discrepancies. Process loan applications and perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a filing system and procedures to monitor that the required loan and underwriting documentation is received and maintained appropriately and according to policies and procedures.
Purge loan files by destroying out‐of‐date or unnecessary loan documents.
Work with Loan Processor to open title/escrow and order appraisals for real estate loans as needed.
Send out credit notices to spouses and adverse action notices when necessary.
Notify vendor to place security interest of credit union on title document. Work with Loan Support Specialist to ensure that the documentation on titles is accurate and up‐to‐date.
May input loans into the system.
Generate loan documents for Consumer and Real Estate Loans and set up for electronic signing as applicable.
Review signed loan documents to ensure completion and consistency with underwriting.
Cut checks for loan disbursements
Manage general ledgers related to loan applications, including but not limited to GAP, MBI, DMV and real estate charges.
Act as primary backup to Loan Processor, fulfilling responsibilities laid out in that job description as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:
Minimum of high school diploma with minimum and two years at a financial institution
Understanding of financial terms, good comprehension of mathematics and English language.
Requires the ability to communicate courteously and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
Attention to detail, able to comply with strict deadlines. Proven flexibility, with the ability to multi-task
Computer proficiency is required: Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Pay: $22.88 - $31.68 per hour
