What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate & Securities Associate- Future Partner- Boston position at Chadwick Nott Legal Recruitment?
Client:
Expanding and highly profitable AM200 law firm with offices throughout the USA and some European footprint.
The firm intentionally positions themselves as one of the smaller BigLaw firms where you get the benefits of BigLaw in terms of quality of work and clients, but within a more nimble, nurturing and entrepreneurial platform where 'talent and merit' are more important than 'internal politics'.
Role:
This is a strategic appointment within a team that is expanding but underweight ( particularly in securities/public company work) and is looking to address this with a talented associate who importantly must be looking for a future route to partner.
Two key components- General M&A ( buy and sell side) and Public Company work
- General M&A for a wide range of clients and leveraging strong specialisms in closely related practices dealing with multi $billion transactions as well as working with family owned/privately owned entrepreneurial companies
- Sector strengths including technology, media, sports, fintech, energy, consumer, life sciences
- Public company work including securities matters, ongoing SEC compliance, distressed M&A, activist investing, fundraisings
Key attractions:
- Strategic appointment to join on a mentored partner track
- Mix of general M&A and securities/public company work
- BigLaw benefits with a healthier work/life balance and a more entrepreneurial environment with a distinct lack of 'sharp elbows'
Successful candidate:
- JD and admitted to the bar in this jurisdiction- class of 2020-2022
- Currently working for an AM200 law firm
- Must have SEC reporting and public company work experience
I am also working on similar roles in other locations including NYC as well as more general corporate roles.
Salary : $285,000 - $360,000
