Job Description
The Safety and Fleet Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the safety and regulatory compliance of the company’s operations while managing and maintaining the efficiency of its vehicle fleet. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for employees, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring fleet operations comply with all relevant regulations.Salary: Starting at $85,000
WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL:
- Conduct biannual safety audits to assess and improve company practices
- Travel frequently to our MA, NH, CT & RI branches
- Collaborate with worker’s compensation insurer to develop long‐term strategies for maintaining a safe working environment
- Conduct annual branch review with Memic and leadership team
- Lead safety orientations for newly hired employees
- Maintain and update all required OSHA logs
- Track safety statistics and provide safety reports to leadership
- Organize safety committee meetings
- Manage and maintain records of fleet maintenance (Enterprise, BOK, EZPass, Geotab) leases and stock
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations governing fleet operations including DOT, OSHA and environmental standards
- Develop truck specifications and replacement guidelines to ensure fleet reliability and performance
- Oversee and manage fleet driving behavior, conduct accident investigations, and implement corrective and preventive measures to minimize future incidents

- Has prior working experience in the Heavy Equipment industry
- Is an independent, self motivated individual
- Has Analytical/problem‐solving skills
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Is detail‐oriented, organized, and able to work on several projects simultaneously
- Has the ability to travel regularly as required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
