Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and demand planning. The Production Scheduler will work closely with various departments to forecast needs and streamline operations.
Duties
- Provide clerical and administrative assistance to the scheduling department
- Report directly to Expeditor/Production Planner
- Key information into the scheduling program, checking for correct information
- Possibly preparing packets as well as distributing job orders
- Attend meetings on occasion
- Able to operate office copier, postage machine, printers and fax.
- Requirements
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of forecasting techniques and demand planning processes.
- Familiarity with MRP systems, SAP software, or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Must have telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Must be willing to learn and be computer savvy.
- Must have high school education.
- Furniture experience preferred
