Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pool Technician role located in Houston, TX. The Pool Technician will travel to customer locations to perform routine pool maintenance, including testing and balancing water chemistry, skimming and vacuuming pools, cleaning filters, and inspecting equipment. The role includes diagnosing and reporting issues with pumps, heaters, filters, and other pool systems, and performing minor repairs or coordinating with senior technicians for complex work. The Pool Technician will document services performed, maintain accurate service records, and communicate clearly with customers about findings, recommended services, and care instructions. The position also involves safely handling pool chemicals, following safety procedures, and ensuring company vehicles, tools, and supplies are kept clean, organized, and in good working order.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform hands-on pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning, basic repairs, and routine equipment checks.
- Comfort with testing and balancing pool water chemistry, and safely handling and storing pool chemicals.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with a diverse client base.
- Good time management and organizational skills to manage daily service routes and complete work independently.
- Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to lift, carry, and move equipment as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a service vehicle safely.
- Prior experience in pool service, maintenance, or a related trade is preferred but not required; willingness to learn on the job is essential.
