We are seeking a full time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support our office Monday thru Friday. The ideal candidate should be reliable, have a positive attitude, posses good communication skills and enjoy working as a team in order to ensure the office and provider's day runs smoothly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients
- Set up treatment rooms for procedures
- Great and escort patients to treatment room
- Show care and concern, help patients feel comfortable and ensure patients are always attended to
- Obtain and review health histories according to office protocol
- Anticipate and assist dentist’s needs
- Perform RDA functions and other tasks as assigned by the dentist
- Ensure proper treatment notes are recorded in patient’s chart
- Keep operatories ready, stocked and clean according to OSHA regulations
- Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA regulations
- Promptly send out and monitor all dental laboratory cases
- Monitor inventory and order dental office supplies as needed
- Help in other areas of the office when necessary (i.e., answering phones, scheduling patients, verifying dental benefits, etc.)
PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or dental assisting experience preferred
- Compliance with state dental practice requirements (e.g., x-ray requirements, OSHA training)
- Computer skills-Dentrix is a Plus
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff members
- Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff
Salary : $20 - $25
