Medical Receptionist Medical Assistant

Chabla Pain & Performance Medicine is a boutique, cash-pay concierge interventional pain practice in Midtown Manhattan, founded by Dr. Luis Chabla-Penafiel, MD, a double board-certified physician in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. We provide a highly personalized, white-glove patient experience, and we're looking for a warm, detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and a key part of our small, close-knit clinical team.

What You'll Do

• Greet patients and visitors, creating a welcoming, professional first impression consistent with our concierge model
• Manage front desk operations: scheduling and confirming appointments, answering phones, and handling patient correspondence
• Check patients in and out, maintain accurate records in our electronic health record (EHR) system, and process payments
• Prepare exam and procedure rooms, including stocking supplies and sterilizing equipment between patients
• Room patients, take vitals, and assist the physician during in-office interventional procedures as needed
• Coordinate with patients on scheduling, follow-ups, and general inquiries with discretion and professionalism
• Support day-to-day office operations and help maintain a smooth, organized practice environment

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification a plus
• Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished, professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, boutique environment
• Comfort with EHR systems and general office software
• A patient-first attitude, discretion, and reliability

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
• Start date flexible within early-to-mid October 2026
