Salary Range: $7,500 - $11,000/Month

Other Pay: Travel Expense Reimbursement

Description:

This is a managerial position that requires a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of water treatment industry, chemical manufacturing, chemical delivery system original equipment manufacturing, company network and computer systems, facility maintenance, and departmental business management. Will be responsible for managing daily operations, maintaining safety standards and achieving company and team goals and objectives in Production, Equipment, Maintenance, and IT. Supervision deals primarily with process management and control in accordance with Quality Plan, ISO, Regulatory, and company policies and procedures ensuring that all departmental activities are compliant with government regulations and standards. Responsibility includes optimizing team functions, developing effective team strategies and streamlining processes to boost efficiency. Will work closely with Director of Operations and other department managers to formulate and implement policies, procedures, and goals. The Operations Manager will ensure department processes operate efficiently and safely while meeting our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

· Provides 3-1 tasks and project list every morning; checks email, voicemail, and inboxes daily.

· Oversee daily operations of Production, Maintenance, OEM Equipment, and IT teams; ensuring optimal performance and safety.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations and health and safety guidelines.

· Train and provide guidance, counseling, and instruction to teams Supervisors.

· Ensure plant compliance with ISO quality system requirements and procedures.

· Implement Professional Growth Plans for supervisors and team employees.

· Collaborate with other teams to ensure policies and procedures are being maintained.

· Possess advanced water treatment, chemical manufacturing, facility maintenance, equipment manufacturing, company computer system, and departmental management knowledge.

· Able to investigate, research, and properly document Regulatory, Quality, and Employee issues.

· Create, update, and maintain department guidance documents and work procedures as necessary.

· Must be able to travel off-site and physically respond to and/or remediate emergency chemical events.

· Able to troubleshoot issues that arise within the teams and implement corrective actions as needed.

· Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and profitability.

· Manage and guide personnel, resolving any issues that may arise while promoting a positive working environment.

· Oversee the scheduling and timely completion of maintenance and repairs to prevent operational interruptions.

· Analyze team performance data and adjust operations, processes, and equipment as needed.

· Coordinate with other teams to optimize operations, inventory, costs, and resources.

· Stay informed of latest chemical processing technologies and industry’s best practices.

· Ensure cross-connection evaluations of facility potable and industrial water system are conducted.

· Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental inspections are conducted and findings corrected.

· Ensure Master Regulatory policy and procedures are conducted on time and recorded.

· Conduct daily team meetings covering work order and project completion.

Requirements:

· 4 years’ prior departmental management experience is required.

· Skilled in chemical handling and spill response management.

· In-depth knowledge of chemical plant manufacturing operations and industry regulations.

· Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar roles in an industrial setting.

· Proficiency in overseeing and managing operational budget.

· Experience with safety and quality standards and procedures.

· Strong leadership and team management abilities.

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

· Knowledge of basic algebra and chemistry.

· Possess intermediate level computer skills.

· Possess intermediate level business management skills.

· Able to employ investigative research procedures, including report writing and evaluation.

· Able to pay strict attention to detail.

· Able to communicate effectively.

· Able to distinguish color and odor.

· Cleared to wear respirator on a non-routine basis.

· Comfortable working in a noisy environment with large temperature variances.

· Must possess valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance.

· Able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
