- SUMMARY:** The Assistant Controller provides guidance and manages all aspects of Accounting Specialist I, II, and III duties, which is primarily related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Customer Invoicing. The Assistant Controller also helps the Controller with monthly financial reporting and other tasks, as assigned. The Assistant Controller performs general accounting duties under the guidance of the Controller.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise Accounting Specialist I, II, and III personnel and transactions.
- Provide backup to Accounting Specialist I, II, and III positions and duties.
- Help prepare ACH and wire transactions.
- Help prepare the check deposits.
- Assist with the customer credit hold process.
- Assist with the Accounting for CH2O, Inc. Subsidiaries.
- Enter new customers in ERP.
- Prepare monthly reports, as assigned.
- Assist with Human Resources duties, as assigned.
- Assist Controller with tasks and projects, as assigned.
- Assist in special projects, as assigned.
- Knowledge and experience in finance and accounting.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Possess computer skills.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to sit for prolonged time periods.
- Comfortable working in a loud, distracting environment.
- Able to climb and descend stairs.
- Able to lift 50 pound boxes.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** Supervise Accounting Specialist I, II, and III.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** Bachelor's degree in either finance or accounting and at least 2 years of experience, or 5 years of public accounting experience.
Compensation: $32.00/hour to $42.00/hour
