Pay: $23-$30 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Fitter Welders to join our shop team! The ideal candidate has a background in structural steel fabrication, can read blueprints, and has strong fitting and welding skills.

If you have at least 3 years of experience and take pride in producing quality work while following safety standards, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
• Fit, assemble, and weld structural steel frameworks and metal components.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Measure, mark, cut, and align materials according to specifications.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Repair defective welds, cracks, and metal components as needed.
• Read fabrication plans on a tablet using Tekla.
• Maintain welding equipment and follow all safety procedures.
• Work with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of fitting and welding experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience working with various metals, including stainless steel and aluminum.
• Welding certification or completion of a welding apprenticeship preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment with welding fumes, bright lights, and loud noises.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including a welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety-toe shoes with metatarsal guards.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
