Position Overview
As a Skilled Laydown Yard Worker, you’ll play a critical role in supporting daily operations at a busy construction site. You'll help manage materials, maintain organization, and ensure that everything is in place to keep projects on track.
Requirements
- 3 years of construction labor experience
- 3 years working in a laydown yard environment
- 1 year of experience operating a telehandler and forklift
- Telehandler and forklift certifications are a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized laydown yard
- Handle and move materials using forklifts and telehandlers
- Receive and process material deliveries
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, large-scale construction environment
- Follow all site safety protocols
- Collaborate with small teams under general supervision
- Use of power and hand tools (a plus)
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance are a must
- Skilled trades experience is a bonus
Job Type
- Full-Time | $25/hour
- 60-Hour Work Weeks
- Monday through Saturday (10-hour shifts)
- Occasional Sundays as needed
- Start times:
- Summer – 5:00 AM
- Winter – 6:00 AM
