As an Endpoint Security Engineer at CGI Federal, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing endpoint security solutions to protect our organization's network and data. You will play a critical role in monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and conducting security assessments to ensure compliance with best practices. Your expertise will contribute to the development of security policies and collaboration with network and systems administrators to enhance our overall security posture.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Continuously monitor network and endpoint security systems to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security weaknesses and ensure compliance with security best practices.
Create and maintain security policies and procedures for end-users, including guidelines for password management and email security.
Collaborate with network and systems administrators to integrate endpoint security solutions into the organization’s overall security posture.
Stay updated on the latest security technologies and threats, making recommendations for new implementations as necessary.
Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use endpoint security solutions.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Relevant experience in cybersecurity, particularly in endpoint security. Familiarity with tools such as EDR, antivirus, and DLP solutions is preferred.
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or other relevant security certifications can be beneficial.
Strong understanding of security technologies, network protocols, and operating systems.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is often required.
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions quickly, especially in high-pressure situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey security policies and procedures to various stakeholders.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional IT experience
- Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI).
