CGI is looking for a self-motivated Senior Production Engineer to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client in Cary, NC.
Looking for a Hands-on Senior Developer (10 years) with domain experience at least in Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Mortgage, Securities or Loans and development experience in application support in Unix, SQL, Java8/J2EE, REST API, Spring and Oracle. Google Cloud
4 days/week onsite is mandatory.
This position is located in Cary, NC - 4 days a week on-site

Your future duties and responsibilities
- 10 years of Experience supporting application in Java 8, Spring, REST, Microservice.
- Experience with Shell scripting, Python automation, Ansible, Jenkins pipelines, and CI/CD automation
- Strong working experience in Cloud Framework - Google GCP (Cloud Storage, BigQuery, GKE, PubSub, Cloud Functions)
- Will be working hand-on on Oracle so oracle proficiency is a must.
- Must have working project domain experience in Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Mortgage, Securities or Loans.
- Troubleshoot application enhancements, bug fixing, debugging and resolving oracle performance issues.
- Unit testing and snapshot testing of components.
- Experience supporting middleware/application servers such as Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss, and WebSphere.
- Interacting with the offshore development team for continuous design suggestions, development, status updates.
- Mentor developers on design & development.
- Code review of the team members & suggest best coding/design practices.
- Provide guidance to support teams on debugging application issues.
- Build and Deployment of application on all environments.
- Providing support to QA, UAT & PROD users.
- Providing multiple and ongoing demo to UAT users & Support teams.
- Hands on Application support role in Java/J2EE framework-based application
- Experience in troubleshoot and maintaining high performance, high availability, scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting straight through processing of large amount of data
- Well versed in designing large systems and modern enterprise architecture and design patterns.
