CGI is seeking a self-motivated Senior Geneva Developer to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client.
Looking for a Hands-on Senior Developer (10 years) with domain experience in Prime Services in SS&C Advent Geneva platform development in technical framework which includes Java8/J2EE, REST API, Spring and Oracle.
This position is located at client site in Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid role at least 3/4 times a week in the office.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $105,800.00 - $234,300.00.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Developing Geneva Product Development application in Java 8, Spring, REST, Microservice
- Gather requirements from Business Analysts and document technical approaches.
- Developing application enhancements, bug fixing, debugging and resolving oracle performance issues.
- Apply SDLC concepts for designing, coding, testing and implementing.
- Integration of front-end modules with Rest API.
- Unit testing and snapshot testing of components.
- Interacting with the offshore development team for continuous design suggestions, development, status updates.
- Mentor developers on design & development.
- Code review of the team members & suggest best coding/design practices.
- Provide guidance to support teams on debugging application issues.
- Build and Deployment of application on all environments.
- Providing support to QA, UAT & PROD users.
- Providing multiple and ongoing demo to UAT users & Support teams.
- Senior Consultant with 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE development engineering environment with proficiency in SS&C Advent Geneva platform
- Experience with Geneva upgrades, implementations, and support.
- Proficient in Geneva RSL and RSL query tuning and Geneva data model.
- Proficient in Geneva setup – portfolios and investment profiles.
- Good understanding of Portfolio Accounting fundamentals, PNL, Taxlot, Balance, Ledger etc.
- Experience in design and building high performance, high availability, scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting straight through processing of large amount of data.
- Good working knowledge in messaging stream processing technology framework like Kafka, etc.
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture, REST APIs. Produce Microservice designs and develop them into fully working systems.
- Experience in PL-SQL/StoredProc with databases like Oracle, Sybase, etc.
- Role based out of Jersey City; 3 days/week in office. No remote.
- Worked in projects with Financial Capital Markets domain of Prime Services is a plus
- Agile development experience is valuable.
