We CGI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Python SQL Developer to join our U.S. Client team. This is an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to work in a collaborative environment supporting client-facing projects and internal data initiatives. The selected candidate will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of data-driven solutions leveraging Python and SQL technologies.
This position is located at client site in Bloomfield, CT.
Your future duties and responsibilities
At least 0–2 years of experience with Python development (academic or internship experience acceptable)
Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software development fundamentals
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,200.00 - $121,100.00.

- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
- Support data integration and ETL processes across multiple systems
- Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable solutions

- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Document technical designs, processes, and code artifacts in accordance with CGI standards
