Position Description
The Data Visualization / Dashboard Developer designs and builds the user-facing program dashboards that translate predictive maintenance analytics into decision-ready displays for Marine Corps maintainers and enterprise leadership. This role operates across two primary environments: the Azure MCEN Maintainer Dashboard for unit-level decision support, and the Jupiter/Advana Enterprise Dashboard built in Qlik for Fleet Marine Force-wide visibility. The developer works closely with the AI/ML Data Scientist to surface model outputs, the Sr Maintenance Functional SME to ensure visualizations map to operational decision points, and critically with the Jr Maintenance SME & Information Specialist to validate that displays present data in terms Marine maintainers expect to see and can act upon.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance program dashboards in both the Azure MCEN (Maintainer Dashboard) and Jupiter/Advana (Enterprise Dashboard) environments per PWS 3.3.3
Create intuitive data visualizations that translate complex predictive maintenance analytics into actionable displays for Marine maintainers with varying technical skill levels
Conduct analysis of current dashboards and the ETL pipeline to produce a roadmap of future features and improvements per PWS 3.3.2
Develop real-time and near-real-time visualizations supporting the sub-8-hour data-to-insight pipeline requirement
Build vehicle health scoring displays, thermal analysis views, fuel system diagnostic panels, vibration/shock trending, and predictive alert interfaces
Ensure dashboard load times meet performance targets (<3 seconds for typical queries) and conduct quarterly user satisfaction surveys (target >4.0/5.0)
Support Wireless Access Point (WAP) heat mapping and troubleshooting visualization tools per PWS 3.3.4
Develop training materials and conduct dashboard utilization training for FSRs and Marine Corps end users
Support sprint-based delivery cycles (2-week sprints) with quarterly major dashboard releases and continuous minor enhancements
Maintain accuracy of both maintainer-level and enterprise-level dashboards per PWS 3.3.7
Work directly with the Jr Maintenance SME & Information Specialist to conduct user acceptance testing from the maintainer perspective before releasing dashboard updates
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Visualization, UX Design, or related field
5 years of experience building data dashboards and visualization applications
Proficiency in Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent enterprise visualization platforms
Experience with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React or Angular)
Experience designing for non-technical end users in high-stakes operational environments
Security certification or equivalent IAT-II (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with military or DoD decision support systems and dashboards
Familiarity with Azure cloud services and Government cloud environments
Experience with IoT/sensor data visualization and time-series analytics displays
Understanding of UX research methods and user-centered design in operational military settings
Prior experience with MCEN, Jupiter/Advana, or DoD enterprise analytics platforms
Knowledge of DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines for dashboard deployment

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 - $150,500.00.
