Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist Level 1 to join our HR team. This entry-level role involves supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for HR and a desire to grow within the field while contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Prepare and send offer letters and employment contracts.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding processes and ensure all required documentation is completed.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support the administration of employee programs, such as benefits enrollment and performance reviews.
  • Help resolve employee issues and concerns in accordance with company policies.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of HR reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate HR-related meetings, training sessions, and company events.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook and ensure employee awareness.

Training and Development:

  • Support the administration of employee training programs and track training completion.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating development opportunities.

Other Duties as Assigned

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role or related administrative position.
  • Experience in talent acquisition
    • End-to-end recruitment: Successfully managed the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
    • Applicant Tracking System: experience at using software to track candidate progress, manage job postings, and maintain organized recruitment data
    Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of HR principles and employment laws.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
